Established by the owners of The Greene, The Greene Change for Charity Foundation Fund focuses on providing meaningful support to youth and families in the greater Miami Valley area.  The Foundation, funded by parking meter proceeds and ticket revenues, offers significant support to area nonprofit organizations through the Change for Charity Meter Program, the Greene Scholarship Fund and Community Event Sponsorships.

Change for Charity Meter Program
Just six organizations are designated each year to receive proceeds from the parking meters and parking tickets at The Greene.  Each quarter spent in a meter and each ticket paid helps fund the current two-month featured charity.

The more people that park at The Greene during those two months, the more charities will earn – so spread the word!

Past recipients of the Change for Charity program include:

  • Beavercreek-Fairborn Optimists
  • Greenebucs
  • Huesman Heart Foundation
  • March of Dimes
  • Miami Valley Literacy Council
  • Reclaiming Futures
  • Clothes That Work
  • Greene County Habitat for Humanity

Applications for the Change for Charity program are accepted through October of the year preceding disbursement.  Groups interested in applying for consideration should submit in writing a letter, any supplemental informational materials outlining the organization, and a 501 C-3 copy to Steve Willshaw, General Manager, in the Greene Town Center Management Office.

The Greene Scholarship Fund
Currently offered at Kettering Fairmont and Beavercreek high schools, this program provides two (2) graduating seniors at each school with a two-year $2,500 per year scholarship to help fund their college education.

The Greene scholarship program awards students who have demonstrated an interest in furthering understanding between cultures, ethnic groups or countries, together with proven academic ability and perseverance in their continuing education.

Students who speak a foreign language or demonstrate a strong interest in international studies or in enhancing understanding and appreciation for diversity would be strong candidates.

Applications are available through guidance counselors at the participating schools.

For more information on how you might participate in The Greene Change for Charity Foundation, please contact the General Manager, Steve Willshaw at (937) 490-4900.
